San Diego - Navy Relocation Assistances |
![]() |
Good Morning! San Diego is a nice place to live and with a large Navy community, many services are available to those who are relocating to this region. Restaurants and entertain are world class but crime can be a problem just as any large metropolitan area so Sailors and their family members should be aware of this. San Diego is the second largest city in California. The Navy has been around that area since about 1907 and has been an important area during conflicts. If you like big cities then this is the place for you. If not, you need to make frequent trips to the more rural areas or to some of the more secluded beaches. San Diego is also near Tijuana, Mexico, which used to offer a good place to relax. The weather in San Diego, California is great in this area and with many beaches and state parks; Navy members will have plenty to do outdoors throughout the year. Places to visit include the San Diego Zoo, the many beaches and more. If you are into diving and fishing, this is the place to be. If you are up to it, you can even take a shark diving tour.
