United States Navy Uniform Regulations Keeping your Navy uniform in tiptop shape can be difficult sometimes especially on the ship but keeping a clean uniform is just part of the strategy if you want to have above average evals. If you are a supervisor or are aspiring to be one, you should have some knowledge of the regulations and the latest regulation changes. The Navy is more keen these days on soliciting input from Enlisted Sailors so if you are ask to provide some input please do. This will ensure that you have a say in the quality and design of your uniform you will wear. Enlisted Sailors seem to come up with the best ideas so your input will be appreciated. Another thing to be aware of are tattoos, body art, dental ornaments, and other grooming standards. The criteria to determine if it is allowed or is within regulations are content, location, size, and cosmetic. In addition, appearance while in uniform shall present a neat professional appearance. The use of gold platinum or other veneers or caps is prohibited and teeth shall not be ornamented with designs, jewels or initials. It should also be noted that Navy personnel with tattoos, body art, brands, mutilations or dental ornaments that do not meet requirements must notify their Commanding Officer via their chain of command. |
